Car wrap film should receive the same care as car paint. Regular cleaning is vital, as dirt will get stuck to the vehicle. We recommend routine trips to a brushless car wash (with no hot wax or wax option) or wash carefully by hand using a mild detergent with no additives such as wax. Dry thoroughly to avoid spotting.
Yes. When removed within the 3M warranty period, they are guaranteed to remove cleanly. If any residue remains, it is easily cleaned off. Professional removal by a 3M Authorized installer is recommended.

Generally, a wear and tear package (side mirrors, door edges, door cups, trunk ledge) will take only a few hours. Full paint protection film installation takes about 2-3 days. However, we recommend contacting your local 3M authorized installer because depending on your type of vehicle, coverage options and availability, time to install paint protection film will vary. Caring for your 3M Paint Protection Film is easy. After film installation, wait one week before washing or waxing your vehicle to help ensure proper adhesion build of the film has been achieved. No special maintenance is required but if you would like to wax your vehicle, use waxes that do not contain dyes, abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds. 3M recommends 3M Performance Finish when waxing your car. After waxing your car, you can remove any wax build-up along film edges with a lint-free cloth. No. Ceramic coating should be professionally removed from the veihcle before applying paint protection film. You may have 3M Ceramic Coating appled on top of your 3M Paint Protection Film. Check with your local 3M authorized installer for more details.

Limited Warranty and Limited Remedy
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris. Warranty coverage does not include paint pull during film removal process.
This warranty is only provided to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable. Register your warranty online to validate at 3m.com/ppfwarranty. By entering the information into 3M’s warranty registration system, you consent to allow 3M to share with Carfax, the VIN number and installation date. Your personal information (name, address, phone number, etc.) WILL NOT be included in the submission to Carfax. Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the limited warranty and limited remedy offered by 3M. This warranty does not apply to headlights.
Implied Warranty Limitation
All implied warranties and conditions, including but not limited to the implied warranty or condition of merchantability, the implied warranty or condition of fitness for a particular purpose, and any implied warranty or condition arising out of a course of dealing or of performance, custom or usage of trade, are limited in duration to the applicable warranty time period. Some states’ jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Except where prohibited by law, 3M and the installer of the 3M product shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the 3M product, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential, regardless of the legal theory asserted, including warranty, contract, negligence or strict liability. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Removal within the wraps warranty period is very unlikely to cause any damage. Areas that have been covered by the wrap material may in fact appear more vibrant and glossier having been protected from the elements by the wrap. However, poorly cured resprays are more vulnerable so always consult the installer if you have had a respray. Professional removal by a 3M Authorized installer is recommended.

To make a claim under this warranty in India, first contact your installer. If the installer is not available, simply contact 3M at 080 4336 5954. 3M will direct you to an installer selected by 3M to have your 3M Wrap Film inspected and, if your claim is covered, 3M will have the installer provide the stated remedy. Please retain this warranty card as it must be presented along with the original invoice to receive warranty service. Form must be complete for warranty to be valid.

Limited Warranty and Limited Remedy

3M warrants that applied 3M Wrap Film Series 2080 will be free of defects in materials and manufacture – including yellowing, bubbling or cracking. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris. Warranty coverage does not include paint pull during film removal process. This warranty is only provided to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable.

3M Car Window Films are designed to reduce the amount of solar heat transmission through window glass by increasing the solar reflection (not necessarily visible reflection) and solar absorption through the glass.
Nothing completely stops fading. 3M Tinted Window Films are designed to help reduce the major causes of fading (ultra violet light, visible light, and solar heat), thus prolonging the life of your furnishings, perhaps as much as two to five times. Generally, ultra violet (UV) is approximately 40% of the cause, visible light is about 25%, and heat about 25%. The remaining 10% can be attributed to humidity, pollutants, interior lights, dye stability, and more.
After thirty (30) days, you may clean 3M™ Films using normal household cleaning solutions, including ammonia-based products: e.g., Windex, and a soft, lint-free cloth or towel. You may also use a squeegee to clean the films. Abrasive products which would scratch or damage the film should not be used.

1) TSER – Total Solar Energy Rejection: The percentage of total solar energy rejected by filmed glass. The higher this value, the less solar heat is transmitted.
2) VLT – Visible Light Transmitted: The percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass: the higher the number, the lighter the film.
3) Ultraviolet Rejection: The percentage of ultraviolet (UV) light that is rejected by the filmed glass. UV light contributes to the fading and deterioration of fabrics and leather.
4) IRR – Infrared Rejection: The percentage of solar infrared energy rejection, over the wavelength range from 900-1,000 nm. Infrared rays are primarily responsible for the heat you feel when driving
5) IRER – Infrared Energy Rejection: The percent of solar infrared energy rejection over the wavelength range from 780–2,500 nm. IRER takes into account the transmitted and absorbed IR energy that will be reradiated into a car.
6) Glare Reduction: The percentage by which visible light is reduced by the addition of film.
